WE ARE SEAWEED
SEAWEED stands for Southeast Association for Women's Empowerment & Economic Development.
Women are the backbone of society. When they do well, everyone benefits. Studies have shown a correlation between gender equality and economic growth in the U.S. and countries around the world. Nevertheless, women are too often undervalued in the workforce.
Our goal is to help right the wrongs of gender inequality. The mission of SEAWEED is to increase the job skills, business acumen, financial literacy, and all around well-being of women in the southeast U.S., especially Black, indigenous and women of color.
